QUESTION 1: Additions & Remodeling

Brief Description: Referendum to authorize general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $9.5 million for additions/remodeling to create one Pre K-12 campus at Patch Grove site.

Actual Wording: Shall the River Ridge School District, Grant County, Wisconsin be authorized to issue pursuant to Chapter 67 of the Wisconsin Statutes, general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $9,500,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of combining current District facilities to create one Pre K-12 campus at the Patch Grove site, including a classroom and gymnasium addition, remodeling and renovation projects, energy efficiency improvements, site and baseball field improvements and acquiring related furnishings, fixtures and equipment; and refinancing a state trust fund loan issued to provide interim financing for certain of the purposes described above.

 

QUESTION 2: Athletic Field Additions and Improvements

Brief Description: Referendum to authorize general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $1.5 million for athletic field additions and improvements at the Patch Grove site.

Actual Wording: Shall the River Ridge School District, Grant County, Wisconsin be authorized to issue pursuant to Chapter 67 of the Wisconsin Statutes, general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $1,500,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of financing improvements to the athletic fields at the Patch Grove site.

DEADLINES FOR THE NOVEMBER 8TH GENERAL ELECTION

Voter Registration- Deadlines for November 8, 2016 Election      Voters can register in the following ways.  All voters must provide a Proof of Residence document when registering to vote.

October 19, 2016– Deadline to Register by Mail Your voter registration form, along with proof of residence must be postmarked to your municipal clerk no later than October 19, 2016. Find your Municipal Clerk’s Contact Information here. 

November 4, 2016 @ 5:00 p.m.- Deadline to Register in Your Municipal Clerk’s Office Voters may register in-person in their municipal clerk’s office during the clerk’s business hours until 5:00 p.m. on November 4, 2016.  Find your Municipal Clerk’s Contact Information here.

November 8, 2016– Register to Vote at Your Polling Place Voters can register to vote at their polling place on Election Day, November 8, 2016.  Find your Polling Place here. 

Absentee Voting- Deadlines for November 8, 2016 Election All voters in Wisconsin can request an absentee ballot be mailed to them for any reason.  Voters must be registered before they can request an absentee ballot.   Voters may request their absentee ballot in writing.  To request an absentee ballot on MyVote.wi.gov click here.  You must provide a photo ID with your absentee ballot request, more information on photo ID can be found here.

November 3, 2016 @ 5:00 p.m.- Deadline to Request an Absentee Ballot- Regular and Permanent Overseas Voters If you are a regular or a Permanent Overseas voters, your absentee ballot request must be received by yourmunicipal clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on November 3, 2016.

November 4, 2016 @ 5:00 p.m.- Deadline to Request an Absentee Ballot- Indefinitely Confined and Military (not away) If a voter is indefinitely confined or is in the military (but is not away from home on active duty) then your absentee ballot request must be received by your municipal clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on November 4, 2016.

October 24 – November 4, 2016 @ 7:00 p.m.- Deadline for In-Person Absentee Voters can request and vote an absentee ballot in-person in their municipal clerk’s office between October 24 through 7:00 p.m. on November 4, 2016.  Office hours vary by municipality.  Please contact your municipal clerk for absentee voting hours. 

November 8, 2016 @5:00 p.m.- Deadline for Hospitalized Voters Voters who are in a hospital may request a ballotbe brought to them by an appointed agent if they are hospitalized in the 7 days preceding the election.  Hospitalized electors may request an absentee ballot between November 1, 2016 and November 8, 2016 at 5:00 p.m.

November 8, 2016 @ 5:00 p.m.- Deadline for Military Voters (Away) to Request an Absentee Ballot Voters who are in the military and are away from their home for active duty may request an absentee ballot through 5:00 p.m. on November 8.  Military voters may also receive their absentee ballot electronically.

November 8, 2016 @ 8:00 p.m.- Deadline to Return Absentee Ballot If you have already received an absentee ballot, you must return your absentee ballot to your municipal clerk.  Your ballot must be received by your municipal clerk no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 8, 2016.
